OnePlus 15 Gets Price Hike of Up to 6000 Rupees Starting May 1

Latest flagship and 15R models become costlier as company revises pricing, impacting buyers planning upgrades while highlighting premium features like large battery, triple cameras, and advanced AI capabilities

In a move that has surprised many smartphone buyers, OnePlus has increased the price of its flagship OnePlus 15 starting May 1. The sudden revision means customers will now have to spend significantly more, with the hike going as high as 6000 rupees depending on the variant.

The price change affects both storage options of the device. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, which was earlier available at 72,999 rupees, is now priced at 77,999 rupees. Meanwhile, the higher-end 16GB RAM and 512GB model has jumped from 79,999 rupees to 85,999 rupees. This sharp increase is expected to influence buying decisions, especially for users who were planning to upgrade soon.

The company has not limited the revision to just its flagship lineup. The OnePlus 15R has also seen another round of price hikes. This is the second increase in recent months, following an earlier revision in December 2025. The 12GB and 256GB version, originally launched at 47,999 rupees, first rose to 50,499 rupees and has now reached 52,999 rupees. Similarly, the 12GB and 512GB variant has climbed from its earlier price of 52,999 rupees to 57,999 rupees after multiple increases.

Despite the rising prices, the OnePlus 15 continues to stand out in the premium segment due to its specifications. The smartphone features a large 6.78 inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The near bezel less design, along with support for Dolby Vision and HDR, enhances the overall viewing experience for users who consume a lot of video content.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, making it one of the first smartphones in India to carry this chipset. It is designed to deliver high performance, particularly for gaming, with technology that supports smooth gameplay at up to 120 frames per second.

Camera capabilities are another highlight. The phone comes with a triple rear camera setup, each featuring a 50 megapixel sensor, covering primary, ultra wide, and telephoto shooting needs. On the front, a 32 megapixel camera handles selfies and video calls, offering clear and detailed output.

Battery performance is a major talking point for the device. Equipped with a 7300mAh battery, the OnePlus 15 offers extended usage compared to many other flagship smartphones. It supports 120W fast charging for quick top ups, along with 50W wireless charging and reverse charging features.

On the software front, the phone runs on Android 16 based OxygenOS 16, delivering a clean and fluid user experience. It also introduces a range of AI driven features such as intelligent photo editing, battery optimization, and personalized usage suggestions, aimed at making everyday tasks more efficient.

With prices climbing across models, potential buyers may need to rethink their budgets, even as the device continues to offer high end features and performance.
