Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said his government is committed to balancing welfare and development while transforming Kodangal into one of the most progressive constituencies in the state. Addressing a large public gathering, he stated that his administration is working nearly 18 hours a day to fulfil promises made to the people.
During his visit to Kodangal, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones for several temple renovation projects and launched the construction of a 430 bed hospital at Hakimpet in Dudyal mandal. He also participated in religious rituals before addressing the public meeting.
Revanth Reddy emotionally recalled his political journey and said the people of Kodangal played a major role in making him Chief Minister. Comparing himself to a tree planted by the people in 2009 when he first became MLA, he said it was now the responsibility of the public to protect and strengthen that growth for future generations.
The Chief Minister highlighted several welfare initiatives being implemented by the Telangana government, including drinking water projects, irrigation facilities, ration cards, Indiramma houses, fee reimbursement, farmer loan waivers, Rythu Bharosa, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, and fine rice distribution schemes.
Speaking about the constituency’s future, he promised that all major development works in Kodangal would be completed before December 2027. He urged village leaders and sarpanches, regardless of political affiliation, to work together for local development and prepare lists of essential works required in every village.
Revanth Reddy also focused heavily on education and healthcare expansion in the region. He said Kodangal is gradually emerging as an educational hub with institutions including medical, engineering, polytechnic, ITI, nursing, and Sainik schools. Students from across Telangana are now coming to the region for higher education opportunities.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of irrigation projects and called for the speedy completion of the Narayanpet Kodangal lift irrigation scheme to bring Krishna river water to the area. He said the project would transform local agriculture and improve the livelihoods of farmers who had struggled for decades in drought prone conditions.
Highlighting industrial growth plans, Revanth Reddy announced that a major industrial park would be developed near Lagcherla across 2300 acres. He also revealed that a cement factory project had received all required approvals and construction would begin within six months, creating employment opportunities for local youth.
He further stated that the Krishna Vikarabad railway line project was close to receiving complete approval and efforts were underway to secure the remaining clearances within the next few months. Plans are also being prepared for a major road connecting Kosgi to the proposed international airport route.
The Chief Minister said Kodangal had long suffered due to lack of political importance and resources, but the situation was now changing. He urged people to put aside political divisions until 2034 and work together to build Kodangal into a model constituency that would attract attention from across the country.
Several ministers, MLAs, senior officials, and local leaders attended the event alongside thousands of residents who gathered to hear the development announcements made by the Chief Minister.
