Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar responded emotionally after a POCSO case was registered against his son Bandi Bhagirath. His remarks have now become a major talking point in Telangana political circles.

Speaking to the media, Bandi Sanjay stated that the law applies equally to everyone and made it clear that even his own son should face punishment if found guilty. He said he has always respected the legal system and would stand by whatever decision the court delivers after the investigation.

At the same time, the BJP leader alleged that there was a deliberate attempt to portray his son as a criminal even before the truth was established. He maintained that the investigation should proceed fairly and that all facts must come out through proper legal procedures.

During the interaction, Bandi Sanjay also spoke about his personal struggles and became emotional while discussing his family. He said most of his life had been dedicated to public service and political work, leaving him with very little time for his son and family members.

According to him, Bhagirath has repeatedly claimed innocence in the matter. However, the Union Minister clarified that he was not blindly defending his son and wanted the truth to emerge through the investigation process.

Bandi Sanjay further said political criticism was not new to him, but attacks involving family members were deeply painful. He emotionally remarked that seeing the campaign against his son was disturbing as a father. He also mentioned the support of his wife, saying she has always stood beside him and party workers even during difficult situations.

The case has now triggered intense political discussion across the state, with both supporters and critics reacting strongly to the minister’s statements and emotional response.
