Provident Fund subscribers may soon experience easier access to their account related services as the Employees Provident Fund Organisation prepares to introduce WhatsApp based support for users across the country.

The move is expected to simplify the way subscribers interact with EPFO services by bringing essential information directly to a platform already used by millions of people every day. Officials believe the initiative will help improve accessibility and make important updates available in a quicker manner.

Under the proposed system, subscribers are expected to check PF account balances, review the latest transaction history and track claim status through WhatsApp. Users may be able to receive these details by sending a simple message to an official verified number linked with the service.

The facility will reportedly work with mobile numbers already connected to a subscriber’s Universal Account Number. Authorities also indicated that important notifications and updates could be delivered in regional languages to improve communication with users from different parts of the country.

Officials stated that the service is expected to operate round the clock through an automated support system and may become available in the coming weeks. In another major digital step, EPFO is also planning to introduce Provident Fund withdrawal support through UPI platforms.

The proposed UPI based system is expected to make transactions smoother and provide additional flexibility for users. If implemented successfully, the new initiatives could benefit millions of employees across the country by making PF services more convenient and user friendly.
