Kaleshwaram is set to witness a large spiritual gathering as Saraswati Antya Pushkaralu begins on Thursday with elaborate arrangements made for devotees arriving from different regions. Authorities expect a significant rise in pilgrim movement over the coming days.
The ceremonial beginning of the festival is scheduled early in the morning with religious leaders and dignitaries expected to participate in the first holy dip. The opening rituals will mark the formal start of the sacred event that holds spiritual importance for many devotees.
Officials estimate that between 30 lakh and 40 lakh pilgrims could visit Kaleshwaram during the twelve day celebration which will continue until June 1. In view of the expected crowd, the government has made extensive preparations to ensure smooth management and convenience for visitors.
Special religious activities including daily homams are planned during the mornings while cultural events and devotional programs will be organized during the evenings. Organizers hope the combination of spiritual and cultural activities will create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the event.
The state administration has also instructed officials to make necessary arrangements so that pilgrims do not face difficulties during their visit. Focus has been placed on crowd management, basic facilities and smooth movement for devotees arriving at the venue.
