A tragic road accident in Uttarakhand ended in heartbreak after five people lost their lives when a car fell into a deep gorge near Nainital district. The incident took place close to the Kainchi Dham temple area and shocked local residents and travelers.

According to initial information, the vehicle was moving on the Sanatorium Ratighat bypass road when the driver reportedly lost control near Daila village. The car then plunged nearly 500 feet into a gorge, leaving no chance of survival for those inside.

Among the victims were four members of the same family along with the driver of the vehicle. The family had reportedly started their journey to visit the Kainchi Dham temple before the trip ended in tragedy.

The deceased were identified as 48 year old Bhupendra Singh Chufal, his wife Seema Kaida Chufal aged 45, and their two sons Vasu Chufal aged 19 and Ravi Chufal aged 12. The fifth victim was the driver, Anuj Kumar Mishra from Lucknow. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
