Patient Dies After Jumping From Guntur Government Hospital Building

A patient undergoing treatment for kidney related health issues at Guntur Government General Hospital died after reportedly jumping from the hospital building on Saturday morning.

A tragic incident was reported at Guntur Government General Hospital on Saturday after a patient allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the hospital building. The incident created concern among hospital staff, patients, and visitors present at the facility.

The deceased was identified as Chennamshetty Srinivas, a resident of Undi village in West Godavari district. According to available information, he had been admitted to the hospital on May 23 for treatment related to kidney health complications.

Hospital sources said Srinivas left his ward during the morning hours, reportedly to attend to routine personal needs. A short while later, he allegedly jumped from the hospital building, resulting in fatal injuries.

Authorities and hospital staff rushed to the spot after learning about the incident. Despite immediate attention, Srinivas could not be saved.

Preliminary information indicates that Srinivas worked as a mason for his livelihood. It is also understood that he had suffered a personal loss, as his wife had passed away some time ago.

Police have begun an inquiry into the incident and are gathering details to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic death. Further investigation is underway.
