Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus Set to Make a Big Splash With Flagship Features
Motorola is preparing to launch the Edge 70 Pro Plus with a powerful chipset premium display massive battery advanced cameras and rugged durability aimed at performance focused users.

Motorola is just days away from unveiling its much anticipated Edge 70 Pro Plus in the Indian market, and excitement is already building. Scheduled to debut on June 4, the smartphone has been generating attention after several of its major specifications were revealed ahead of launch. The company has also been teasing key features through promotional listings, giving consumers a detailed look at what to expect from the upcoming device.
One of the standout attractions of the Edge 70 Pro Plus is its powerful hardware package. The smartphone is confirmed to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola is positioning the phone as a performance focused device capable of handling demanding games, multitasking and intensive applications with ease. To keep temperatures under control, the handset includes a large 4600 square millimeter vapor chamber cooling system. According to the company, the device has achieved an impressive score of over 2.4 million points in benchmarking tests.
The display is expected to be another major highlight. Motorola has equipped the phone with a 6.8 inch Extreme AMOLED panel featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and a screen to body ratio of 96.8 percent. The display supports HDR10 Plus technology and covers 100 percent of the DCI P3 color gamut, promising vivid visuals and smooth performance. With a peak brightness of 5200 nits, users should have no trouble viewing content even under bright outdoor conditions. An in display fingerprint scanner has also been integrated for convenient and secure authentication.
Battery life appears to be a strong focus for the company this year. The Edge 70 Pro Plus packs a large 6500mAh silicon carbon battery designed to provide more than two days of usage on a full charge. The phone supports 90W wired charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, offering flexibility for different charging needs. Motorola has confirmed that the 90W fast charger will be included in the retail box, eliminating the need for a separate purchase.
Photography enthusiasts are likely to appreciate the advanced camera setup. The rear camera system includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor based on Sony’s LYT 710 technology along with optical image stabilization. Motorola is also bringing a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom capabilities. The camera system supports up to 50x digital zoom and is enhanced by the company’s Super Zoom Pro technology. On the front, users will find a 50 megapixel selfie camera designed for detailed photos and high quality video calls. Motorola says all camera lenses are capable of recording 4K video at 60 frames per second.
Durability has not been overlooked either. The smartphone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with MIL STD 810H certification for added toughness. These features suggest the device can handle accidental drops, splashes and challenging environmental conditions more effectively than many conventional smartphones.
Despite housing a large battery, the phone maintains a slim profile. Motorola says the Edge 70 Pro Plus measures just 7.34mm at its thinnest point and weighs approximately 190 grams. The device will be available in three distinctive Pantone inspired finishes including Chicory Coffee, Zinfandel and Stormy Sea, giving buyers a choice of stylish color options.
The smartphone will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has also promised three years of operating system upgrades and five years of security updates, offering long term software support for users who plan to keep their device for several years.
While nearly every major feature has now been revealed, one key detail remains under wraps. Motorola has yet to announce the official pricing of the Edge 70 Pro Plus. Consumers interested in the device will have to wait until the June 4 launch event to learn how much this feature packed flagship will cost.
With a premium display, advanced camera system, long lasting battery and powerful performance hardware, the Edge 70 Pro Plus is shaping up to be one of Motorola’s most ambitious smartphone launches of the year.
