Chennai: Nilgiris and Conoor in Tamil Nadu won the Silver Award for the best Mountain/Hill views Destination in India at the Outlook Traveler Awards 2022. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G.Kishan Reddy presented the award to SAtate Tourism Department Secretary Dr.Chandra Mohan. B and Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) Managing Director and Director of Tourism San deep Nanduri at an event held in New Delhi.
The Outlook Awards denote the benchmark of quality in the travel and- tourism industry and aim to take a 360-degree view of the industry. Over the years, the awards have attracted stakeholders across various verticals. This year’s edition focused on highlighting the changes in the travel industry that have become the new normal post the pandemic, an official release said here today.
The awards were presented in 11 different categories including the bestEco-Tourism Destination, best Wildlife Desti nation, best Adventure Destination, and best Festival Destination. The awards were evaluated by a stellar Jury, consisting of prominent names from the Indian tourism industry.
