Cricket excitement is running high in Hyderabad as Sunrisers Hyderabad prepare to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Uppal Stadium on Friday evening. With this being SRH’s final home match of the IPL season and Virat Kohli’s presence adding extra attraction, demand for tickets has reached a new level.
As thousands of spectators are expected to gather around the stadium, police have announced important traffic restrictions and public safety instructions to avoid congestion in and around the area. Traffic diversions will remain in place from 12 noon until midnight near Uppal Stadium and surrounding roads.
Officials warned that routes connecting Uppal, Habsiguda, Boduppal and Amberpet may witness heavy traffic movement during the day. Heavy vehicles heading toward the stadium side are being diverted and commuters have been advised to choose alternative routes whenever possible.
Police also requested ticket holders to arrive at least one hour before the match starts and sit only in their designated seats. Visitors can use gate map features available on mobile applications to locate entry gates easily by scanning QR codes and following signboards.
Meanwhile, ticket demand continues to remain extremely high. Although tickets on online platforms sold out within minutes, many cricket fans are still trying to secure seats for the match. Authorities have also warned that strict action will be taken against black market ticket sales.
To help spectators return home without travel difficulties after the game, metro authorities have decided to extend services until midnight. The match is scheduled to begin at 7.30 pm and is expected to continue until late in the night.
