Intermediate Public Examinations 2026 began across Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, marking a crucial phase for students. First year examinations started today, while second year exams will commence from Monday. Authorities have enforced tight rules to ensure smooth and transparent conduct.

This year, a total of 10,57,899 students are appearing for the exams across the state. Among them, 5,31,275 are first year students and 5,26,264 are second year candidates. To accommodate them, 1,537 examination centres have been set up statewide, with nearly 1,02,000 students appearing from the combined Krishna district alone.

The Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh has made it clear that even a one minute delay will lead to denial of entry. Students have been advised to reach centres at least an hour early to avoid last minute stress.

Strict security arrangements are in place. Mobile phones smart watches calculators and all electronic gadgets are banned inside exam halls. CCTV surveillance has been installed at every centre and Section 144 is being enforced, supported by strong police deployment.

Considering rising temperatures, officials ensured drinking water and basic medical facilities at all centres. Observers have been appointed at each exam location, while sitting squads and flying squads will monitor sensitive centres. The examinations will continue until March twenty four, with a dedicated helpline available for student support.
