Heavy rain likely in AP

Amaravati: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema during the next four days, Meteorological Centre said on Saturday. In a bulletin here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayala Seema during the next four days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is placed or at a few places or at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema during the next five days. Southwest monsoon has been active in Rayala Seema during the last 24 hours.

Heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in Vizianagaram and SPSR Nellore districts and in Anantapur & Chittoor districts during the same period. Rain occurred at many places in Rayalase ema, at a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed in Yanam of Puducherry during the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.
