In a major relief for families, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu has confirmed that Thalliki Vandanam funds for the upcoming academic year will be credited in June. The decision aims to ensure that students and their parents receive financial support right at the beginning of the school term.

Under this scheme, every eligible student from Class 1 to Class 12 studying in government or private institutions will receive financial assistance. The amount of Rs 15000 will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of parents, helping reduce the burden of educational expenses.

The Chief Minister made this announcement during his visit to Vinjamuru in Nellore district. He emphasized that releasing the funds early in the academic year would help families manage school related costs without delay.

Importantly, the benefit will be provided to each child in a family, meaning households with multiple students will receive the amount separately for every eligible student. In cases where parents are not present, the funds will be deposited into the accounts of guardians responsible for the child.

To qualify for the scheme, students must maintain at least 75 percent attendance. Additionally, the bank account of the mother or guardian must be linked with Aadhaar to ensure smooth transfer of funds. From the total amount, a portion will be allocated towards school maintenance, and the remaining sum will be credited to beneficiaries.

The government introduced this initiative to support education and ease financial pressure on families. A similar scheme was implemented earlier under a different name, and the current government has continued it with a renewed approach.

With schools set to reopen in June after the summer break, the early release of Thalliki Vandanam funds is expected to benefit thousands of students across the state.
