Thunderstorm with lightning likely in AP, TS: Met

Amaravati: Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.

In a bulletin here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in Telangana, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema from Wednesday to Friday. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places or at a few places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

The Southwest monsoon has been weak in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Telangana during the last 24 hours. Heavy rain occurred at one or two places in the Srikakulam district of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.

Rain occurred at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, isolated rainfall at isolated places in Telangana, and dry weather pre-vailed in Yanam of Puducherry during the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.
