TTD Warns Devotees Against Fake Websites Offering Tirumala Darshan and Rooms

TTD has issued a strong alert urging devotees to avoid fake websites mimicking official portals as fraudsters target online darshan and accommodation bookings with misleading links and illegal payment demands.

  • TTD issues warning on fake websites.
  • Devotees advised to book only officially.
  • Vigilance action intensified against fraudsters.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has cautioned devotees to stay alert while booking Tirumala darshan and accommodation online, following a surge in complaints about fake websites cheating pilgrims.

According to officials, fraudsters are creating look alike websites that closely resemble the official TTD portal. These fake platforms misuse temple images and logos to gain trust and collect online payments from unsuspecting devotees promising darshan tickets and rooms.

The issue came to light after a devotee from Kerala reported being cheated through a fake website claiming to offer accommodation under the name Karnataka Pravasi Soudha. Acting on the complaint, the TTD vigilance wing intensified surveillance and identified several suspicious links appearing in online search results.

TTD officials revealed that these fake websites are collecting large sums through online payments and misleading devotees with false confirmations. The IT wing has lodged formal complaints and cases have been registered under copyright laws against those misusing TTD branding and content.

Devotees have been clearly instructed to make all bookings only through the official TTD website. Authorities warned pilgrims not to trust sponsored links or unfamiliar portals found through search engines and social media platforms.

TTD also urged devotees to immediately report any suspicious websites phone calls or messages claiming to offer Tirumala services. Officials stressed that vigilance and awareness are key to preventing financial loss and ensuring a safe pilgrimage experience.
