Amazon Bazaar was launched in 2024 as part of Amazon India’s efforts to strengthen affordable online shopping and support small businesses across the country.
The company revealed that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together now have more than 75000 sellers on Amazon.in. Among them, over 1200 sellers are directly associated with Amazon Bazaar.
Officials stated that the platform also recorded a major rise in seller participation, with the number of sellers increasing 2.4 times over the previous year. Product listings expanded by nearly 2.5 times, helping local businesses connect with customers across India.
According to Amazon, shopping behaviour is rapidly changing in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, where more people are now preferring online purchases for daily needs and lifestyle products.
To support this growing demand, Amazon has expanded its operational network in the region. The company currently operates eight fulfilment centres, three sortation centres and around 1500 Hub Delivery Partners across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Company representatives said the strengthened delivery network is helping improve last mile connectivity and enabling faster deliveries even in smaller towns and semi urban regions.
