As part of the restrictions, Raja Singh was arrested by police while travelling towards Banswada. He was taken into custody by Medak district police near Pedda Shankarampet, citing concerns over potential unrest.

Several BJP leaders and activists were placed under house arrest, while others were detained at different points to prevent gatherings. Heavy police presence was seen near the camp office of MLA Venkata Ramana Reddy and at the residence of Congress leader Shabbir Ali.
The unrest stems from allegations of encroachment on government degree college land and properties linked to educational institutions. BJP and Congress leaders traded public challenges, demanding open debates and proof regarding the land ownership claims. Both sides expressed readiness for discussion at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, but police denied permission for any public debate citing security risks.
With leaders from both parties planning to arrive and tensions running high after municipal election results, authorities moved swiftly to prevent confrontation. Police made it clear that maintaining peace remains the top priority as the situation continues to be closely monitored.
