Officials stated that the development marks a symbolic closure of Maoist activity in Telangana, with the event taking place at the Integrated Command and Control Centre. The police leadership welcomed the decision, describing it as a step towards restoring peace and stability in affected regions.

According to senior officials, Dev G entered the Maoist movement in 1982 and remained underground for decades. With this surrender, the total number of Maoists who have returned to civilian life in Telangana has reached 590. Authorities confirmed that 11 cadres are still absconding.

The police appealed to those still underground to abandon violence and join the mainstream. The state assured rehabilitation support and reintegration assistance to surrendered members to help them rebuild their lives peacefully.

Police officials also clarified that former top leader Ganapathi is no longer in forest areas and is believed to be outside active zones, while Pasunuri Narahari is said to be operating in Jharkhand. A renewed appeal was made to remaining senior leaders to surrender and choose a lawful path forward.
