The Telangana cabinet has approved the allocation of twenty acres of land for the construction of a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams temple in Khammam marking a significant spiritual milestone for the region. The land has been identified in the Dhamsalapuram revenue limits paving the way for a major religious project in the district.
The proposal gained momentum after senior minister Tummala Nageswara Rao personally met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and explained the rising number of devotees in Khammam and nearby areas. He highlighted that many devotees are unable to travel to Tirumala and a local TTD temple would fulfil long pending spiritual needs.
Responding positively Chief Minister Revanth Reddy immediately directed the revenue department to process the land allocation. With cabinet approval in place the project is set to move forward under the supervision of TTD.
According to officials the proposed temple complex will not be limited to a shrine alone. The plan includes pilgrim accommodation marriage halls parking facilities and spaces for religious and cultural activities making it a comprehensive spiritual centre.

The project is expected to boost religious tourism in Khammam and offer devotees easier access to worship while also contributing to local development and employment opportunities.
