Pawan Kalyan Cancels Telangana Tour Amid Political Developments
Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has cancelled his proposed Telangana visit, even as the party confirms participation in municipal elections across multiple districts.

- Pawan Kalyan cancels Telangana tour citing political reasons
- Jana Sena to contest municipal elections in 336 wards
- Glass tumbler symbol to represent Jana Sena candidates
The proposed Telangana tour of Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has been officially cancelled, the party confirmed on Friday. He was earlier scheduled to take part in the BJP led municipal election campaign in Nalgonda on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by Jana Sena, the decision to call off the visit was taken due to ongoing political developments in Andhra Pradesh along with certain personal reasons. The cancellation comes at a time when political activity has intensified in both Telugu states.
Despite the tour being called off, Jana Sena made a significant announcement regarding the Telangana municipal elections. The party declared that it will contest in 336 wards across the state, marking a notable presence in the local body polls.
District wise details of the wards where Jana Sena candidates are contesting were released on Friday. The party clarified that its candidates will contest under the glass tumbler symbol in the elections.
Jana Sena is entering the fray in 11 districts across Telangana. Karimnagar district has the highest number of candidates with 56 wards, while Mahabubabad has the lowest representation with just five candidates.
Party leaders stated that the decision reflects Jana Sena’s intent to strengthen its organisational base in Telangana and actively participate in grassroots level politics, even in the absence of its chief’s physical presence during the campaign.
