Telangana’s upcoming municipal and corporation elections have taken on fresh political energy as Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan prepares to hit the campaign trail in support of the NDA. With nominations completed, parties are now in full campaign mode across the state.

Polling will be held on February 11 for 116 municipalities and seven corporations, making it one of the largest local body election exercises in Telangana. While the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and the Indian National Congress have already activated ground level strategies, the Bharatiya Janata Party is stepping up its outreach with high profile support.

Jana Sena Party sources confirmed that Pawan Kalyan will campaign on February 7 and 8 in select municipalities and corporations. Though the exact locations are yet to be announced, the focus is expected to be on strengthening BJP candidates under the NDA banner.

As a key NDA ally, Jana Sena Party has chosen to stay out of direct electoral contests in Telangana while extending campaign support. Political observers say this approach allows the party to retain visibility and influence without formally entering the race.

For the BJP, these local elections are seen as a stepping stone toward future Assembly polls. The entry of Pawan Kalyan into the campaign is being viewed as a strategic move to attract undecided voters and intensify the contest, adding a new layer of excitement to Telangana’s municipal elections.
