Secunderabad – Anakapalli Weekly AC Express to Become Regular Train Service

South Central Railway announced that the fully air conditioned weekly express service between Secunderabad and Anakapalli will operate as a regular train with fixed schedules from May.

South Central Railway has announced that the weekly special train running between Secunderabad and Anakapalli will now operate as a regular train service, offering improved travel convenience for passengers between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Railway officials confirmed that the decision was approved by the Railway Board and the service will continue with fully air conditioned coaches. Authorities said the move was taken in view of passenger demand and the positive response received for the special train service.

The Secunderabad to Anakapalli Weekly Express carrying Train Number 17043 will begin regular operations from May 24. The train will depart from Secunderabad Railway Station every Sunday at 9 pm and reach Anakapalli Railway Station at 12 pm on Monday.

Similarly, the Anakapalli to Secunderabad Express with Train Number 17044 will start regular services from May 18. The train is scheduled to leave Anakapalli every Monday at 5.35 pm and arrive in Secunderabad at 8.40 am on Tuesday.

Railway authorities stated that the fully AC service is expected to provide a more comfortable journey for passengers travelling between the two states, especially long distance travellers and working professionals.

Passengers welcomed the decision, saying the conversion of the special service into a regular train would improve travel planning and ensure better connectivity between major cities and towns in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
