Woman Found Dead at Madhura Nagar Ladies Hostel in Hyderabad
A woman from Guntur district was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a bathroom at a ladies hostel terrace in Hyderabad while police launched an investigation into the incident.

A tragic incident was reported in Hyderabad’s Madhura Nagar area after a woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a ladies hostel building. The incident took place within the limits of Madhura Nagar Police Station under Panjagutta Division.
Police identified the deceased as Harika, aged around 40, who was originally from Guntur district. She had reportedly been staying alone on the terrace portion of the Bhargavi Ladies Hostel building.
Local residents noticed something unusual after detecting a foul smell from the terrace bathroom and immediately alerted the police. Officers rushed to the spot and discovered the woman’s body inside the bathroom area.
According to preliminary findings, police suspect that the woman may have died nearly two days before the body was found. Investigators believe she could have collapsed inside the bathroom, though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be confirmed.
The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination. Police registered a case and began a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Residents in the area expressed shock over the tragedy, while officials said all possible angles are being examined before reaching any conclusion.
