HMD Vibe 2 5G Price Leaked Ahead Of Launch With Massive Battery And 120Hz Display
HMD Vibe 2 5G may launch in India next week with a 6000mAh battery, smooth 120Hz display, 50MP camera, and budget pricing expected to start below Rs 9000.

HMD is preparing to introduce a new affordable 5G smartphone in the Indian market, and ahead of its official launch, several important details about the HMD Vibe 2 5G have already surfaced online. The smartphone is expected to debut on May 21 and could become a strong contender in the budget segment with features usually seen in more expensive devices.
According to leaked information, the HMD Vibe 2 5G may arrive with a starting price of around Rs 8999, making it one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the country. Industry reports suggest the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage could carry this price tag, while the 4GB plus 128GB version may cost around Rs 9999. The higher variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to be priced near Rs 10999.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to launch in multiple color options including Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue and Peach Pink. If the leaked pricing turns out to be accurate, HMD could directly challenge brands like Redmi, Lava, Tecno and other budget smartphone makers currently competing in the sub Rs 10000 category.
One of the biggest highlights of the HMD Vibe 2 5G is expected to be its massive 6000mAh battery. Reports claim the device may support 18W fast charging, which could help users comfortably get through long usage hours without frequent charging interruptions. This large battery setup may especially appeal to users who stream content, play games or spend extended time on social media throughout the day.
The smartphone is also rumored to feature a 6.75 inch HD plus IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smoother refresh rate is expected to improve scrolling, gaming and overall visual experience. The device may include a punch hole design on the front, giving the phone a more modern and premium appearance despite its budget pricing.
For performance, HMD may equip the smartphone with the Unisoc T8200 5G processor. The chipset is expected to support smooth multitasking and reliable 5G connectivity for daily usage. The company could offer the device in both 4GB and 6GB RAM options along with expandable storage support through a microSD card slot.
Camera performance also appears to be a major focus for the upcoming device. Leaks indicate the HMD Vibe 2 5G could feature a 50 megapixel primary rear camera supported by AI based photography features. A secondary sensor is also expected to be included as part of the rear camera setup. On the front, the smartphone may offer an 8 megapixel selfie camera for video calls and social media use.
Several reports have also pointed toward a premium looking camera module design inspired by flagship smartphones. Along with this, users are expected to get a near stock Android experience with fewer pre installed apps and a cleaner interface, something many buyers prefer in the affordable smartphone category.
Additional features may include a side mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is also rumored to carry an IP64 rating, which could offer basic protection against dust and light water splashes.
With strong battery life, a high refresh rate display and competitive pricing, the HMD Vibe 2 5G is shaping up to be an important launch in the entry level 5G smartphone market. The official launch next week is expected to reveal complete specifications, availability and final pricing details.
