Authorities have issued a severe heatwave alert as rising temperatures continue to affect several parts of Andhra Pradesh, with extreme conditions expected across multiple districts.

The disaster management department warned that 51 mandals are likely to experience severe heatwave conditions, while another 49 mandals may face moderate heatwave impact. Officials stated that the situation reflects a sharp increase in summer intensity across the state.

According to the forecast, north coastal districts are expected to witness strong hot winds, while coastal and Rayalaseema regions may record high maximum temperatures. The combination of heat and dry winds is likely to worsen conditions during daytime hours.

Several mandals in Srikakulam Vizianagaram and Parvathipuram Manyam districts are expected to be among the worst affected areas. Similar conditions are also predicted in parts of Alluri Sitarama Raju Polavaram Anakapalli and Eluru districts.

In addition to severe heatwave zones, moderate heatwave conditions are expected in multiple mandals across districts including Kakinada East Godavari NTR Palnadu and Nandyal. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

Officials emphasized that the ongoing heatwave could pose health risks, especially for vulnerable groups. People are urged to stay hydrated and take preventive measures during peak hours.

With temperatures continuing to rise, authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have advised the public to follow safety guidelines to cope with the extreme heat conditions.
