Now AP Govt School Students In Remote Areas Also To Get Tabs

AMARAVATI: In a boost to digital education, the Andhra Pradesh Government will be providing 5,18,740 tablets with pre-loaded content provided by BYJUS, and needy students now in the remotest parts of the State will get access to affordable education.

Besides the tabs, 72,481 smart TVs will be set up in classrooms in government schools in a phased manner with a total expenditure of Rs 512 crore.AP Govt. will be providing 5,18,740 tablets with pre-loaded @BYJUS content to needy students besides 72,481 smart TVs in classrooms. This boost to digital education will ensure that students in the remotest parts of AP get access to quality affordable education.

This was announced by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during a review meeting held with senior officials on the Nadu Nedu scheme. By March next, the first phase of digitization would be complete.

While talking about the digitisation of classrooms, the Chief Minister said that by March next, the first phase has to be complete and all schools should be provided with internet facilities.
