Drug bust in Hyd, KTR picks up the gauntlet on narcotics test

State IT minister and KCR’s, heir apparent, KTR, has picked up the gauntlet thrown at him by state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay, as also leaders of other opposition parties who have been alleging that he consumes drugs and should submit himself to a narcotics test. KTR agreed to this challenge, and said that he was ready to give samples of his blood, hair, nails, and even kidney to any doctor of their choice. When Bandi Sanjay beat himself up with slippers, if he is proved wrong, he questioned.
Added to that is the Enforcement Directorate summoning as many as 12 Tollywood personalities, including the actress Rakul Preeth and Director Puri Jagannath.
It was the Hyderabad police, which busted a ‘rave party’ at a pub in Banjara Hills in the pre-dawn hours not so long ago and detained nearly 150 people, some of whom were found to be consuming drugs.
Those who were detained included actress and actor Naga Babu’s daughter Niharika Konidela, TDP MP Jayadev Galla’s son Galla Siddharth and Tollywood singer and Bigg Boss Telugu winner Rahul Sipligunj. However, the police allowed them to leave after collecting their details, according to some news reports.
