New Delhi, Dec 27 : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the party top brass will communicate their decision on the pending cabinet revamp soon. “I have explained to the party leaders about the pending cabinet revamp. The party top brass told me that they will communicate their decision soon. I am positive about it,” he told reporters late Monday night after holding a marathon meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others here.
Bommai said this was for the first time that they had a detailed discussion on the issue. “Ours is a national party. I hope they will convey their decision soon,” he said. Bommai, who arrived in Delhi in a special flight, held a meeting with party leaders for more than two-and-a-half hours.
BJP national president JP Nadda, party general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh, general secretary Karnataka in-charge Arun Singh, state unit president Nalin Kumar Kateel were present in the meeting. “Injustice will not be done to any communities on reservation issues. We will take all communities into confidence before taking any decision,” he said. Bommai also said several leaders from different parties have shown keen interest to join BJP, and a decision will be taken on their induction by the central and state party leaders.
On reservation demand by Panchamsali Lingayats, Bommai said the party leaders have asked him to keep the natural justice in mind before arriving at any decision on the issue.
He also said an all-party meeting will be called in Bengaluru soon to discuss the interim report submitted by the Backward Classes Commission.“We will seek the opinions of experts and decisions will be taken after consulting all sections of society and experts,” he said.
