Bommai attacks Siddaramaiah for comparing him to puppy, says ‘it shows his culture’

Date:

Ballari, Jan 4: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai attacked Congress opposition leader Siddaramaiah for comparing him to a puppy and saying that ‘’Bommai shivers like a puppy before Prime Minister Narendra Modi.“It shows a culture of the person who has served as chief minister. Comparing the chief minister to a puppy, shows his culture and reflection on his personality,’’ he said making it clear that he was not upset by it.
“No decent person will compare a chief minister to a puppy,’’ Bommai said while speaking to media persons in Ballari on Wednesday and warned that the people will teach a lesson to Siddaramaiah in the assembly elections.
“I have no problem at being compared to a puppy as dog is always considered a faithful animal. I am faithful to the people. It is for the people to judge,’’ he said. Bommai claimed that he will never cause misfortune to society like what the former Chief Minister did while in power.“I will try to unite and bring fortune,’’ he said criticizing the Congress for not debating on issues of public concern during the 15-day legislature session in Belagavi. The Chief Minister said the legislature will be meeting again later this month and have sittings in February. “Let them discuss all issues. We are ready to answer,’’ he said making it clear that there is no point for a public debate.Modi is Kamadhenu
He accused Siddaramaiah for not meeting Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh during the UPA rule as he was ‘frightened of approaching him’ and getting any grants or projects from the Centre.
Bommai said Prime Minister Modi is a ‘Kamadhenu’ and has been going on giving several projects for Karnataka after he came to power. “Karnataka has got 6,000 kms of national highways. The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, harbours in Mangaluru and Karwar, Kalasa Banduri project have been approved. The Upper Krishna Project will be implanted as a national project under Modi rule. No other Prime Minister has given so much to a single State, including the implementation of smart cities,’’ he said. The Chief Minister said Siddaramaiah and Congress leaders have made it a habit to make politically motivated criticism of Modi and will be taught a less by the people.Reddy, B Nagendra and others were present.
