Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and various cabinet Ministers of the state government would campaign in Karnataka in favour of Janata Dal (Secular) in the 2023 assembly poll scheduled to be held in May this year, according to state Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod.Last month in Hyderabad, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Janata Dal (S) senior leader HD Kumaraswamy while welcoming KCR into national politics, exuded confidence that the BRS would bring about a qualitative change in the country.Speaking at the BRS general body meeting held at Telangana Bhavan here, Kumaraswamy said the JD(S) will contest the Karnataka Assembly elections in May next year in alliance with BRS.He said that the JD(S) would stand with KCR and support his efforts for the development of the country.Speaking at a meeting organised by JD(S) Gulbarga district president Balaraj Shiva Guthedhar at Kalaburagi (neighbouring Karnataka state) on Sunday, Rathod exuded confidence that a farmer-friendly government would come to power at the Centre after the 2024 general elections.
Apart from BRS Supremo, all the BRS leaders including Ministers would tour Karnataka extensively to seek votes in support of the JD (S) led by HD Kumaraswamy, she said the party’s aim is to bring JD(S) party into power in Karnataka and to make HD Kumarswamy the Chief Minister of the State.She said none of the welfare and development programmes initiated by the Telangana government were being implemented in Karnataka.
