Warangal : Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao inaugurated a paddy buying center under PACS at Palakurti Constituency Rayaparthi Mandal Center of Warangal District, the first such center in the combined Warangal District. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government is investing for the crops of the farmers and that during the last kharif period, one crore tonnes of paddy was collected in the state. He added that the area under paddy cultivation has increased from 3 lakh acres to 65 lakh acres in the last 8 years.Minister Errabelli also announced the opening of a grain purchase center in Pedda Wangara mandal center of Mahabubabad district. He said that the government is purchasing 7,000 metric tons of grain this Yasangi season and the support price for A grade grain is fixed at Rs. 2,060 and Rs. 2,040 for B grade grain.The Minister praised CM KCR for investing thousands of crores in buying grain for the farmers and said that the previous governments did not purchase grain on time.
He also distributed the checks of Minister Kalyana Lakshmi and honored Ayita Yakayya, who received the Dalit Ratna Award in Raiparti. District Collector Shashanka, farmers, officials, local public representatives, and others participated in the program.
