Chandrababu Naidu Urges Centre to Resolve Andhra Pradesh Issues in Delhi Meetings
Chandrababu Naidu met seven Union Ministers in Delhi seeking solutions on Polavaram project, TTD laddu issue, railway projects and pending funds urging swift Centre support for Andhra Pradesh development priorities

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu pressed the Union government to address a series of long pending issues concerning Andhra Pradesh during his visit to New Delhi. In back to back meetings with seven Union Ministers he outlined key development priorities and urged swift intervention from the Centre.
During his interaction with Union Home Minister Amit Shah the Chief Minister is learnt to have brought up the TTD laddu controversy including concerns related to alleged adulteration of ghee. He emphasized the need for clarity and appropriate action to protect the sanctity of Tirumala temple traditions.
In his meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Chandrababu Naidu requested higher allocations for the state in the revised Union Budget and sought the release of pending funds. He highlighted the financial challenges faced by Andhra Pradesh and stressed the importance of timely central assistance.
Water disputes and irrigation projects formed a major part of the discussions. The Chief Minister urged Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil to permanently revoke the stop work order on the Polavaram project and grant approvals for the Polavaram Nallamala Sagar link. He also sought resolution of the Vamsadhara water dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and requested the publication of the final tribunal report in the Gazette. Raising concerns over Karnataka’s move to increase the height of the Almatti dam on the upper Krishna river he expressed strong objections and called for immediate intervention.
Railway expansion was another key focus area in his meeting with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Chandrababu Naidu proposed extending the Bengaluru Chennai high speed rail corridor to connect Tirupati and sought early notification for operationalizing the South Coast Railway Zone from April one. He also pushed for new high speed and semi high speed rail links across the state including Visakhapatnam Vijayawada and Kurnool corridors along with improved connectivity to tribal and Rayalaseema regions.
The Chief Minister discussed agricultural development initiatives with Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and briefed Manohar Lal Khattar on the state’s Swachha Andhra programme under the Swachh Bharat mission. He also met other ministers to review industrial proposals including progress related to major steel projects.
With multiple sectors ranging from irrigation and railways to finance and temple administration under discussion the Chief Minister conveyed that resolving these issues is crucial for Andhra Pradesh growth and public welfare. He expressed hope that the Centre would respond positively and expedite decisions that directly impact the state’s development trajectory.
