A routine ride to school ended in tragedy in Bapatla district when a cable wire accident claimed the life of a respected headmaster. The shocking incident occurred near Devinuthala village in Chirala mandal, leaving the local community in deep sorrow.

Angirekula Srinivasa Rao, who was serving as headmaster at the Zilla Parishad School in Gavinivaripalem, had set out from Bapatla to attend his regular duties. Just minutes after leaving home, fate took an unexpected turn. While riding along the usual route, a hanging fiber cable wire reportedly struck his neck.

The sudden impact caused him to lose control of his bike. The vehicle veered off the road and plunged into nearby fields. He suffered severe head injuries in the fall and died on the spot before help could arrive.

For his family, the news was devastating. He had left home like any other day, unaware that it would be his last journey. Relatives rushed to the accident site, breaking down in grief as they saw what had happened.

Police reached the scene soon after receiving information and began an investigation into the cable wire accident. A case has been registered, and the body was shifted to the Chirala Government Area Hospital for post mortem examination.

The incident has raised serious concerns about unsecured fiber cable wires hanging along roadsides. What appears to be a minor hazard can turn deadly in seconds. Authorities are now being urged to inspect and secure loose cable wires to prevent similar accidents in the future.
