Tollywood producer and actor Bandla Ganesh called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the Assembly in Amaravati, marking an emotional moment after completing his long pledged Tirupati foot march. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s chamber during the ongoing Assembly session.
Bandla Ganesh shared details of the padayatra he undertook as a personal vow. During the political turmoil of 2023, when Chandrababu Naidu was jailed in what the TDP described as false cases, Ganesh had pledged to walk to Tirumala if Naidu returned as Chief Minister. Following the coalition’s victory in the 2024 elections and Naidu assuming office for the fourth time, Ganesh fulfilled his promise.
The foot march, named Sankalpa Yatra, began on January 19 from Ganesh’s residence in Shadnagar, Telangana. After walking continuously for 23 days, covering nearly 535 kilometres, he reached Tirumala on February 10. He later had darshan of Lord Venkateswara and completed the vow.
After returning from Tirumala, Ganesh met the Chief Minister and presented Srivari prasadam brought from the temple. Chandrababu Naidu greeted him warmly and listened as Ganesh described his journey, the challenges he faced, and the support he received from party workers along the route. Ganesh said the encouragement from supporters gave him strength to complete the demanding walk.
The meeting reflected a blend of faith, personal commitment and political emotion, drawing attention from both political circles and the film fraternity.
