  • Devotee rush has reduced due to exam season.
  • Waiting time for darshan has come down significantly.
  • Special entry darshan is now quicker for pilgrims.

Devotee turnout at Tirumala witnessed a noticeable decline on Wednesday bringing relief to pilgrims visiting the hill shrine. With fewer devotees arriving during the ongoing examination season queues moved faster and darshan arrangements became smoother.

Officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams said only four compartments were occupied for darshan waiting. Pilgrims without tokens were able to have sarva darshan within about six hours while those holding divya darshan or sarva darshan tokens completed their visit in three to four hours.

The reduced crowd also cut down waiting time for special entry darshan. Authorities stated that devotees opting for the three hundred rupee special entry could expect darshan within two to three hours though newly arriving pilgrims may need to wait slightly longer.

On Tuesday a total of seventy thousand five hundred nine devotees had darshan of the deity. Among them over eighteen thousand devotees offered their hair as part of their vows. Hundi collections remained at an average level reflecting the lighter footfall.

Temple surroundings saw easier movement with less congestion and staff were able to manage arrangements efficiently. Officials advised devotees to follow official updates and plan their travel accordingly to make the most of the reduced rush.
