  • March school holidays bring student relief.
  • Festivals and weekends boost school breaks.
  • Half day schools start due to heat.

As February draws to a close, students across the Telugu states are already counting days for a pause from regular classes. While summer holidays arrive later in April, March itself is shaping up to be a month filled with frequent school holidays and shorter academic schedules.

The holiday stretch begins with a Sunday on March first, followed by a series of major festivals. Holi on March fourth, the second Saturday on March fourteenth, Ugadi on March nineteenth, Ramzan on March twentieth and Sri Rama Navami on March twenty sixth will together create multiple breaks. When combined with Sundays, students may get close to ten holidays across schools and colleges during the month.

Education departments in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have also announced half day schools from March sixteenth to manage the rising summer heat. In Andhra Pradesh, classes will be held from eight in the morning to twelve thirty in the afternoon, offering some relief to students.

At the same time, March will also be busy with examinations. Class ten board exams in Andhra Pradesh are scheduled to begin from March sixteenth and continue until April first. Schools functioning as examination centres may see slight changes in class timings during this period.

With festivals, exams and heat related adjustments all coming together, March is expected to be a crucial yet refreshing month for students, offering short breaks from academic pressure while keeping them engaged in important milestones.
