Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has outlined an ambitious vision for Amaravati, emphasizing that the proposed bridge across the Krishna River must stand as an iconic structure connecting the capital region. He said the new capital is being developed as a blue green livable city with a focus on modern infrastructure and sustainability.

During a high level authority meeting held under his leadership, several key projects were reviewed and approved, including plans for the riverfront, layout developments, and major infrastructure works. Senior officials from CRDA, finance, and forest departments participated in the discussions, focusing on accelerating ongoing projects and ensuring timely execution.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to closely monitor companies that had previously received land allocations, asking them to assess whether development activities are progressing as planned. He stressed that delays should be addressed immediately to maintain momentum in capital construction.

In a major boost to the region’s educational prospects, representatives from BITS Pilani informed the Chief Minister that admissions to the Amaravati campus will begin in 2027. The upcoming campus is being designed as a landmark institution with advanced departments including quantum technology and artificial intelligence.

Naidu encouraged the institution to actively support startups in emerging technologies, particularly in the quantum sector. The campus, being developed in multiple phases with an estimated investment of 250 crore rupees, is expected to accommodate around ten thousand students, strengthening Amaravati’s position as a major education hub.

Highlighting broader economic trends, the Chief Minister noted that investor confidence in Andhra Pradesh is steadily improving. He pointed out that companies in sectors such as renewable energy are coming forward with new projects, including plans to establish manufacturing units, signaling renewed growth and development across the state.
