CM Chandrababu Promises Investment Driven Growth for North Andhra

Chief Minister Chandrababu said the government is transforming North Andhra into an investment and employment hub through major infrastructure projects industries clean energy and welfare focused development initiatives.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said his government is determined to transform North Andhra from a migration region into a destination for investments employment and industrial growth.

Addressing a public meeting during the Swarna Andhra Swachh Andhra programme at Tamrapalli in Srikakulam district’s Narasannapeta constituency, the Chief Minister said the state government is focusing equally on the development of North Andhra Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra regions.

Chandrababu stated that the previous administration had slowed down the growth of Uttarandhra and created uncertainty among people and investors. He said the current government is rebuilding Andhra Pradesh with a long term vision centred on infrastructure employment and welfare.

The Chief Minister highlighted several large scale investment projects coming to North Andhra. He said major companies including Reliance TCS Cognizant ArcelorMittal and Renew Power are entering the region with plans for data centres steel plants green energy projects and IT services.

He announced that the Bhogapuram Airport will be inaugurated in July and revealed plans for another airport in Srikakulam district along with a new airport project at Palasa. Chandrababu also confirmed that the Mulapeta Port project will be completed and launched within this year.

The Chief Minister said the government has already signed investment agreements worth Rs 23 lakh crore in the last 23 months and added that these projects are expected to create nearly 24 lakh jobs in the coming years.

Speaking about welfare initiatives Chandrababu said the government aims to build a poverty free society by increasing income levels and improving living standards. He announced financial incentives of Rs 30000 for families having a third child and Rs 40000 for a fourth child as part of efforts to address population decline concerns.

He also said the government is strengthening Anganwadi services and continuing financial support schemes for women and families. Under the Thalliki Vandanam programme eligible mothers are receiving financial assistance of Rs 15000.

Chandrababu stressed that cleanliness and sustainable development are central to the Swachh Andhra mission. He said the government has cleared massive amounts of legacy waste and is developing waste to energy plants integrated garbage processing centres and circular economy parks across the state.

According to the Chief Minister more than 121 lakh metric tonnes of waste have already been cleared in the last 23 months. He added that door to door waste collection systems are being strengthened in both urban and rural areas with new electric vehicles push carts and tricycles.

The government is also promoting green cover expansion rainwater harvesting solar energy generation and plastic waste management under long term environmental goals for Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu said the administration is using modern technology to resolve land disputes and protect land ownership records. He promised that by March 2027 the government would ensure there are no major land related conflicts anywhere in the state.

The Chief Minister further appealed to citizens to support national economic and energy conservation efforts by reducing unnecessary fuel usage encouraging public transport supporting local products and promoting natural farming methods.

He concluded by saying the government sees power not as a tool for destruction but as an opportunity to improve people’s lives through development employment and transparent governance.
