Implement promises or become disrepute CM: BJP’s Gudur warns KCR

Date:

Hyderabad, July 29 (UNI): Bharatiya Janata Party state senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy on Friday demanded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to implement the promises he has made to the people or he would be considered as disrepute by the people of the state.

In a media statement, he said that the Chief Minister has neglected the ruling in the state after coming to power for the second time. “KCR became arrogant after coming to power for the second time and for- gotten all the promises he has made to the people,” he said. He said that about 13.70 lakh applications for Aasara pensions were put pending in the state in the past three years. He said that though the TRS promised that it would reduce the age to get an old age pension to 57, it was not accepting the applications. Similarly, the government has put 41.60 lakh applications in pending in the past three years, including applications for pensions. The reason is that the government did not have the money to implement the scheme. Surprisingly the applications which do not need money were also kept pending, he alleged. This shows the government’s apathy to- wards solving the issues of the people. He said that the Chief Minister did not keep the promise to give Rs 3,016 to each unemployed in the state. He said that the government owes about Rs 1.29 lakh to each unemployed in the past 43 months to 26 lakh unemployed. He said that apart from pensions, unemployment allowance promises like providing 3 acres of land to each Dalit family, 2BHK houses to the poor, one job to each family, and an irrigation facility to one core acre.
