The south India times: The Government is providing support to the weavers in the state and implementing many welfare and development schemes. Once upon a time Siricilla and other place names were always in the news. Because there were scenes where a weaver committed suicide. But, after the formation of the Telangana Government, the suicides stopped. The main reason for that is the Government’s assurance that I am with the weavers.
After coming to Telangana,the Chief Minister of the state Mr.K.Chandrasekhar Rao recognized the importance of handloom products and supported and encouraged them. In addition, steps were taken to get the weaver a respectable salary, Handloom & Textile,IT,Industries, Municipal and Urban Development Minister Mr.K.Taraka rama rao has called on government officials employees, and everyone to wear handloom clothes every Monday as part of handloom.
