Homeguards are the backbone of police department

The South India times: Homeguards are the backbone of the police department providing crucial support to the department. In 2017 Chief Minister KCR announced that home guards will be made permanent in the department which will be a huge relief to thousands of home guards providing service in the department.

The current salary provided to hone guards is very minimum and there are no benefits provided to them. The promised if fulfilled will be a bless- ing to every home guard in Telangana
