The South India times Rajanna Siricilla: District Collector Anurag Jayanthi said that in order to prevent malnutrition among children, extra food specially prepared with snacks is being pro- vided in Rajanna Sirisilla district Collector Anurag Jayanthi unveiled a poster titled “Millet Food Festival” on nutrition to be provided through Anganwadis as part of Poshana Masam in a meeting organized in the Chamber of Integrated District Office Complex on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Minister K.According to the instructions of Tarakara Rao, extra food is being provided especially snacks to prevent malnutrition in the district. It has been decided to provide additional food to Angan wadi children and malnourished children every Saturday with the help of ragi java, ragi laddu, and ragi payasam. It is said that because of the high amount of iron, calcium, protein, and fiber in foods like ragu, the growth will be high and the bones will become hard.
