The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major relief for students planning higher education after Intermediate studies. From the 2026 academic year, the Higher Education Department is preparing to introduce a single common admission portal aimed at making the entire admission process easier and more transparent for students across the state.

At present, students seeking admissions into engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, degree courses, and other professional programs are required to visit different websites and complete separate application procedures. To remove this confusion and save time, the government is now working on an integrated digital platform that will allow students to complete most admission related tasks in one place.

Under the proposed system, students need to register only once on the common portal. Based on their Intermediate marks and academic group, the platform will automatically display the courses for which they are eligible. Students can then directly choose their preferred colleges and courses without searching through multiple websites or facing unnecessary complications.

Officials believe this system will improve transparency in admissions while also helping students make better academic decisions. The portal is expected to guide applicants clearly through every stage of the process, reducing errors and simplifying online applications for thousands of students.

One of the biggest advantages of the new system is the Aadhaar linked certificate verification process. Important documents such as caste certificates, income certificates, residence proof, and Intermediate mark sheets will be connected digitally through Aadhaar integration. Because of this feature, students may no longer need to scan and upload multiple certificates manually during applications.

The government says the automated system will reduce dependency on online service centers and minimize mistakes during document submission. Officials are confident that the new common admission portal will make higher education admissions faster, easier, and more student friendly in Andhra Pradesh.
