The Capital Region Development Authority has announced a fresh push for road development works in Amaravati capital villages and urged farmers to cooperate in the land acquisition process linked to the master plan.
CRDA Commissioner Vijay Rama Raju said farmers whose lands are required for road construction have been given two months to come forward voluntarily under the negotiable policy framework. He stated that further action would be initiated if landowners fail to respond within the deadline.
The commissioner held discussions with affected farmers at the Rayapudi office and explained the government’s plans for infrastructure expansion in the capital region. Officials informed farmers that notifications regarding the land acquisition process had already been issued earlier.
During the meeting, several farmers raised concerns over village settlement areas and land related issues. Responding to their concerns, the commissioner assured that a detailed announcement on village boundary and settlement matters would be made within the next 15 days.
He said surveys in the affected villages had already been completed and authorities were currently preparing reports identifying the exact areas facing issues. Detailed plans showing where roads would pass through agricultural lands and village areas will soon be shared with each village.
CRDA officials also stated that any matters found to be against existing regulations would be reviewed carefully before taking decisions in accordance with the CRDA Act.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has started the process of transferring annual lease payments to farmers who had earlier given lands for the Amaravati capital project. However, officials said payments could not be credited into 4,528 bank accounts due to inactive Aadhaar linked banking details.
Farmers were advised to immediately activate their bank accounts to avoid delays in receiving lease amounts. Authorities also uploaded the list of affected bank accounts on the official website and asked farmers to verify their details at the earliest.
