Belagavi, Dec. 21: The foundation stone for the statues of Sangolli Rayanna and Kittur Channamma in front of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha will be laid next week, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after inaugurating the new building of Sangolli Rayanna First Grade College here on Wednesday, he said the statues of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi will also be installed in Suvarna Soudha. Grants will be released to Channamma University to install the statue of Kittur Rani Channamma. A sainik school is being established in Sangolli at a cost of Rs 221 crore. A museum is being constructed at Nandgad Veer Bhumi at a cost of Rs 75 crore.
Students must think logical
Bommai said a student’s life is very important in one’s life and it will not come again. It is the time to spend more time with friends happily. But there is no shortcut to success as one needs to do hard work to achieve it. Success will come automatically if they work hard with dedication. They must think logically and give deep thinking on five Ws, where, why, when, what and whom, and how and that will help them a lot. Writing examinations by mugging up will be difficult.
