Bengaluru Road Rage Attack Leaves Teen Student Critically Injured

A minor traffic dispute in Bengaluru escalated into a violent assault after a teenage student was allegedly attacked with a knife by a group of bikers.

A shocking case of road rage in Bengaluru has left a 17 year old college student seriously injured after he was allegedly attacked with a knife in the middle of a public road. The incident has once again raised concerns about increasing aggression and violence among motorists in the city.

The teenager, a second year pre university student, was reportedly working part time as a bike taxi rider. According to preliminary information, he was on his way to a juice shop with friends when a biker repeatedly honked, demanding space to pass. The student reportedly moved aside and allowed the rider through, believing the matter had ended there.

However, the situation soon escalated when the biker allegedly began arguing with the student. Following a brief verbal exchange, the rider left the spot but later returned with another individual. The pair allegedly intercepted the student’s vehicle and took away his bike key.

Police sources said the student was then taken near a bar where the accused allegedly attempted to assault him. The attack was reportedly interrupted after one of the student’s relatives intervened, forcing the suspects to leave the area temporarily.

The violence did not end there. A short while later, the same individuals allegedly returned with a third accomplice. As the student continued on his way, the group is accused of dragging him to the roadside and attacking him with a knife. He sustained serious injuries to the chest, neck and back.

Passersby and local residents rushed to help the injured teenager and shifted him to a nearby private hospital. Medical sources said he is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit and has survived the attack.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family, police have registered a case, including charges related to attempted murder. Investigators have collected CCTV footage from the surrounding area and formed a special team to trace the suspects, who are currently absconding.

The incident has sparked concern among residents, with many calling for stricter action against violent road rage offences. Police continue their efforts to identify and arrest all those involved in the attack.
