Karimnagar Zone Executive Director Solomon visited the Bhadrachalam RTC depot on Thursday to review preparations for the festival scheduled on the 27th of this month. During the inspection he examined bus parking facilities and accommodation arrangements made for staff. Parking arrangements have also been planned for buses travelling towards Andhra Pradesh. The Junior College ground in Bhadrachalam has been designated as a parking area to manage vehicle movement during the celebrations.

Meanwhile preparations for the traditional Seetha Rama Kalyanam rituals have also begun. Handwoven Pochampally silk garments for the divine wedding ceremony started being prepared on Thursday. Executive Officer Damodar Rao inaugurated the weaving process with special prayers along with temple priests.

For several years artisans from Secunderabad have been weaving these traditional Pochampally silk clothes at the Bhakta Ramadasu Meditation Hall located at Ranganayakula Gutta. These sacred garments are offered to Lord Rama and Goddess Sita during the grand celestial wedding ceremony at Bhadrachalam.
