Commuters traveling on the Hyderabad – Vijayawada National Highway are set to see a small reduction in toll charges, offering limited relief to regular travelers. The revised toll fees will come into effect from April one, following official confirmation.

The reduction applies to select categories of vehicles, with a decrease of five rupees in toll charges at major plazas such as Panthangi and Korlapahad. Authorities clarified that not all vehicle categories will benefit from the revision, and several rates remain unchanged.

For three axle commercial vehicles, toll charges at Panthangi have been reduced slightly for both single and return journeys. A similar revision has been made at Korlapahad, where fares have been lowered by five rupees for the same category.

Light motor vehicles including cars, jeeps, and vans will continue to pay standard rates, with fixed charges applicable for one way and return travel at both toll plazas. Likewise, light commercial vehicles, goods carriers, and mini buses have clearly defined toll rates depending on travel distance and duration.

Two axle buses and trucks also fall under the revised structure, with updated charges applicable at both toll points. However, officials emphasized that the reduction is minimal and limited to specific categories.

The updated toll system aims to streamline pricing while providing some relief to highway users. Authorities have advised commuters to be aware of the revised rates before crossing toll plazas to avoid confusion.

With daily traffic remaining high on the Hyderabad – Vijayawada highway, even a small reduction is expected to benefit a section of vehicle owners, particularly commercial operators.
