A sharp rise in temperatures has pushed several parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana into extreme heat conditions, with authorities issuing fresh warnings as both heatwaves and thunderstorms threaten the region. The intense weather pattern has left people struggling to cope with rising temperatures and sudden climatic changes.

In Telangana, Nizamabad recorded a scorching 46 degrees, marking one of the highest temperatures of the season. Several other districts including Nalgonda Nirmal and Siddipet are also witnessing severe heat. Even Hyderabad is not spared, with areas such as Musheerabad reporting temperatures above 42 degrees. Weather officials indicate that the heat is likely to persist for another couple of days before showing slight relief.

Andhra Pradesh is facing equally severe conditions. Prakasam district recorded the highest temperature in the state at 45.4 degrees in Kopperapadu. Districts like Tirupati Nellore and Palnadu also reported temperatures ranging between 44 and 45 degrees. Across the state, hundreds of mandals have seen temperatures crossing 41 degrees, reflecting the widespread intensity of the heatwave.

Despite the extreme heat, sudden weather changes are also being observed. Northern coastal districts including Srikakulam Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam may receive light rainfall accompanied by lightning. These unexpected showers are being linked to atmospheric instability caused by rising ground temperatures.

Officials have cautioned people to remain vigilant during this period. Lightning strikes pose a serious risk, and residents are advised not to take shelter under trees or near electric poles during storms. Farmers are particularly vulnerable as unseasonal rains may damage crops that are close to harvest. Authorities have urged them to protect their produce by moving it to safe storage or covering it properly.

Public health advisories have also been issued. People are encouraged to avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and use protective measures such as covering the head when outdoors. The evolving weather conditions continue to be closely monitored as both states face a challenging mix of heat and sudden rainfall.
