Railway passengers in Hyderabad and Secunderabad have received encouraging news as Indian Railways has decided to convert three special trains into regular train services. The move comes in response to increasing passenger demand and growing travel congestion on several routes connected to Telangana.

These newly regularized trains will provide better connectivity for passengers travelling from Hyderabad region. The trains will have stoppages at major stations including Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Charlapalli terminals which are key railway hubs in the city.

One of the major changes includes the train that earlier operated as Kacheguda Madurai special service. This train has now been converted into Kacheguda Tuticorin Express. The service will depart from Kacheguda every Monday at 3 pm and reach Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu at 10.45 pm on Tuesday. On the return journey the train will leave Tuticorin on Wednesday morning at 7.45 am and reach Kacheguda on Thursday afternoon at 1.25 pm.

The route will cover several important stations including Shadnagar, Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy Road, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Kadiri, Madanapalle Road, Piler, Pakala and Chittoor.

Another important train that has been converted into a regular service is the Hyderabad Kanyakumari Express. The train will continue operating on the same schedule as before. It will depart from Hyderabad every Wednesday at 5.20 pm and reach Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu early Friday morning at 2.30 am. The return journey will start from Kanyakumari every Friday at 5.15 am and reach Hyderabad on Saturday afternoon at 2.30 pm.

During its journey the train will pass through several major stations including Secunderabad Charlapalli Nalgonda Miryalaguda Nadikudi Junction Sattenapalli Guntur Junction Tenali Junction Chirala Ongole Nellore Gudur Junction Renigunta Junction Tirupati Pakala Junction and Chittoor.

In another development the Charlapalli Shalimar special train has now been upgraded to the Charlapalli Shalimar Amrit Bharat Express. The train will depart from Charlapalli every Tuesday morning at 7.15 am and reach Shalimar in West Bengal on Wednesday morning at 11.20 am. On the return journey the train will leave Shalimar on Wednesday afternoon at 12.50 pm and arrive in Charlapalli on Thursday evening at 7 pm.

This service will pass through important stations such as Kazipet Warangal Mahabubabad Khammam Rayyanapadu Eluru Rajahmundry Samalkot Tuni Duvvada Vizianagaram Srikakulam Road and Palasa.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy welcomed the decision taken by Indian Railways and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for improving railway services in Telangana.

Currently Telangana already operates five Vande Bharat trains and four Amrit Bharat trains. Officials indicated that more modern trains and additional services on high demand routes are expected to be introduced in the coming years to further strengthen railway connectivity in the region.
